    K1 Visa in Thailand

The K1 Visa Process is best explained in a 9 step process. If you need more information about the K1 Visa process then call us on our tollfree US telephone number for more assistance 24 hours a day.

The first step of the K1 Visa is to ensure that you have retained an immigration lawyer and that you meet the financial requirements of the K1 visa as has been explained before.

Step two is when you complete our questionnaire to ensure that all documentation has been collected and that you are able to apply for the visa. This ensures that every single question has been covered and that you are able to apply in the first place.

Step three is the application to the USCIS. All the documents are collected and we will assist your fiancée with the collection of all the needed documents. Once this is complete we will forward it to you for your signature. By this time everything that is needed has been attached and the forms have been completed in full.

Step four is when the documents have been forwarded to USCIS and they send you a letter to confirm it. This is called ‘Notice of Action 1′.

Step five is when USCIS processes the forms and this typically takes 2-3 months to complete. The USCIS process is what makes the process so long. If there are documents short or documents not collected this is where the process will drag on and highlights why doing it correct the first time around is important. Any delay – this is where it would be.

Step six is when it is approved and sent to the National Visa Center. They will send you a notice to tell you about this. This is called ‘Notice of Action 2′.

Step seven is when the National Visa Center will take 2-3 weeks to either approve or turn down the visa. From here the matter is sent on to the US Embassy in Bangkok for attention.

Step eight is the interview process. The embassy will notify the lawyers or your fiancée about the date for the interview. They may also request more information or documents that you would be required to bring along. Certain documents might still need to be translated and obtained so speak to a lawyer about this before hand. We always send an immigration lawyer with to the interviews not only as a translator but when a misunderstanding could occur.

Step nine is when the visa is granted.

The process might sound simply but the small mistakes can cause the matter to drag on for a year or more if not done properly. always ensure that you use an attorney for this process.
